Push Promotions have supplied various different types of concert staff to UK music events since we were founded back in 2012. All corners of the country have been covered, from small back-room venues to iconic 100,00+ seater stadiums. The UK is famous for its music- from The Beatles in Manchester, Oasis in Manchester, Black Sabbath in our homeland of Birmingham… music really is a part of our DNA. As such the concert business is booming, and despite ticket prices rising (let’s not think about the Oasis surge pricing situation again- no I didn’t manage to get tickets) people are still willing to pay to see their favourite songs live.
Concerts are more than just the musician, or even the musicians crew, e.g. bands, lighting, pyrotechnics even. There are so many moving parts in concerts and Push can provide staff to keep the concert cogs turning.
We can provide any of the following types of concert staff:
- Ticketing Staff- Staff to sell tickets and scan tickets upon entry
- Wristband Staff- Staff to secure wristbands onto concert-goers (important so they cannot be removed and ‘stolen’ by somebody else to get free/upgraded entry)
- Retail Staff– Staff to work on merchandise stalls
- Food & Drink Servers- What it says on the tin. Staff to serve food and drink to customers. We have staff with bar and barista experience, as well as staff with Level 2 Food Hygiene Certification
- Hospitality Staff– Staff to host VIP booths
Here are some of our exciting concert staffing experiences:
Wembley Stadium:
Push supplied a large team of 60 Wembley Stadium wristband staff (plus a team leader) to work at a concert at the iconic venue. Wembley is predominantly used as a football stadium but is being increasingly used for other entertainment events such as concerts. We supplied staff directly to Live Nation Entertainment. The company promotes, operates and manages ticket sales for live entertainment.
Our Wembley Stadium wristband staff worked throughout the venue. They handed out relevant wristbands to music superstar the Weeknd’s fans- 90,000 of which were in attendance! Our team worked in a calm and efficient manner. They ensured that all wristbands were distributed despite the near-overwhelming busy and lively atmosphere.
Moreover, the team leader remained an easily accessible point of communication between the wristband team and the venue’s managers. The team leader made sure staff were always where they needed to be and that all their jobs were completed to our high standards.
But we can provide more than just wristband staff to concerts. We can also provide staff to scan tickets, sell merchandise, direct people to their seats, work on bars, and more. It takes a large team of staff to make a concert, especially one at Wembley Stadium, run smoothly. Furthermore, we can provide event marshals and stewards to assist with event safety.
UK Tours:
We were super excited to work with Live Nation again: this time for Punjabi-star Diljit Dosanjh’s Dil-Luminati Tour.
Our staff handed out LED wristbands at Birmingham’s Utilita Arena, Manchester Co-Op Live, and London’s O2. Such wristbands truly bring concerts to life, making them more interactive and immersive for fans.
We supplied 25 members of staff for each concert across the UK. At each event they distributed up to 20,000 wristbands! We provided seamless staffing across the entire UK tour. We can often provide local staff to save you money on staff transport & accommodation costs.
Boxing Matches:
Not quite a concert, but a live sporting event. But we provided 25 staff members to the AO Arena Manchester on a bustling Saturday night to hand out wristbands at the KSI Vs Tommy Fury boxing match. Love Island star Tommy controversially defeated Youtuber KSI on points before a sell-out crowd of 20,000 people.
Our wristband staff helped to ensure the smooth success of the event. They handed out 20,000 wristbands, directed guests around the venue, scanned tickets, and provided general assistance.
Villa Park:
Famous for football, Villa Park has been increasingly used for concerts when the football season is over. Pink and Bruce Springsteen are just 2 iconic musicians to have graced the stage here in Birmingham.
We have provided staff in various capacities to the stadium. We supply Aston Villa with 40 staff members every home match at Villa Park stadium. Staff work as turnstile operators assisting entry into the ground, and (initially) as Covid-checkers who ensured that fans had their Covid-passes.
With a capacity of 42,785 people, assisting entry into Villa Park is no mean feat! Push Promotions have successfully and efficiently supported the Birmingham club with their long-awaited fan-attended matches. We’ve enabled thousands of fans to enjoy the atmosphere and excitement of a football match post-lockdown.
Since then we have also assisted the club with their ‘Birmingham New Street to Villa Park’ bus shuttle service. We supplied a team of 5 staff who directed football fans to the shuttle bus pick up points and explained how and where to purchase bus tickets. Our staff wore branded blue Villa vests and large backpack flags to make their presence visible.
