Push promotions is a casual worker agency offering various promotional roles including sampling staff, leafleting staff, exhibition staff, retail staff, hosts and hostesses, product demonstrators, promotional models and other types of promo staff. They provide staff across the UK.
Push Promotions have made it easy for you to apply for work, and this guide will help you to navigate your way through this process
The image above shows our home page. To get to the right section to complete your application, hover over the staff area section and then click ‘register for work’ from the drop down menu as shown in the marked area of the image.
Scroll down to the following section and select the ‘set up my profile’ button as marked in the above screenshot. This will then direct you to the staff portal and allow you to register for the agency.
The following page will prompt you to fill in your email and create your account. Once you have accepted the agreement and completed the first section of the application, you will recieve a confirmation email of the creation of your account. Check for this so you can ensure that you have inputted your email address correctly.
The next step is to fill all your personal details and emergency contact details. You will also be asked how far you are willing to travel for work. This is so that when you are alerted in terms of jobs, they will be according to the criteria you have specified.
The next section requires details of your citizenship and national insurance numbers. At this stage you may also expect to be asked to input your bank details for payroll, but this will be done after you have booked onto a job.
The ‘about you section’ goes through some further information including your citizenship, the language you speak, your vaccination status, your education level, your driving status and a section where you can write a bit about yourself and why you would be a suitable candidate for the agency.
The final few sections will ask about your previous experience, which you should only select if you can provide evidence, and it will ask you to provide images of yourself for your profile. This concludes your application and then you must wait for it to be approved by a member of the management team. Your portal will look like the following image.
Once your application has been approved, you will receive an email about this and the portal layout will change to look like the following image.
There will now be additional sections for you to complete. If you click the ‘my profile’ section it will give you the option to complete your bank details, uniform sizing and qualification section.
It is important that you complete these so that you are ready to apply for jobs. The training section will ask about your DBS, food qualification, fire safety, beauty therapy, and first aid training. This is because Push Promotions work to supply clients with staff most suitable to their needs and the training you have can help us to do this, and also help us to find something you may be most comfortable an qualified to do.
The sizing section will ask for your various measurements. Our clients often ask that workers be dressed in particular clothing that they may supply. The completion of this section will allow us to correctly obtain your size.
Once you have completed all these section, you are ready to browse the job market and apply for jobs. You can specify how you would like to conduct your search.
If you find something that you are interested in, you must click the apply button and then proceed to write a bit about why you would be suitable for this role.
Once you have applied, you can then track the progress of your application in the ‘my jobs’ section.
If your application is successful, you will receive an email confirming this. The job will also be displayed in the ‘booked jobs’ section. You will be emailed a brief a couple days before the event and this brief will also be in the ‘booked jobs’ section. You will receive a job reminder the day before the event
ROLES AT THE EVENTS:
All employees will be briefed prior to the event about their roles and responsibilties. It is important that you adhere to the instructions and guidelines. On the morning of the event you will be required to check in on the staff portal and then check out at the end of the shift. This must be done each day that you are working. You do not need to check in and out for your breaks. At the end of the shift you are also expected to send a photograph of the job being carried out.
PAY:
Push Promotions are very reliable in terms of giving you accurate pay and in a timely manner. You will be paid monthly in arrears, on or about the 5th of each month, for time worked in the previous month. Please note that payroll timings may alter around and during the Easter and Christmaa periods.
It is your responsibility to check in and on the staff portal during your jobs. If this is done inaccurately it may result in having to wait for the next payroll to receive any due fees. It is also important to upload any expenses.
You can find this section where it says ‘expenses’ on the portal.
