Character costume staff dressed as Christmas elves at a grotto

Now, I know we’re barely into Autumn, but is it ever too soon to mention the C word? Yes, Christmas of course! Here at Push Promotions we can supply you with enthusiastic, engaging and fully-trained seasonal staff to work, and undoubtedly entertain, as Christmas elves throughout the festive season.

Due to the definite increasing chill in the air, and the evenings growing darker, customers are starting to slowly consider Christmas. Businesses, however, should already have Christmas on the brain, and be planning their promotions and sales pushes for ‘the most wonderful time of the year’. In 2021 the average Brit, perhaps surprisingly, spent a whopping approximately £1000 throughout the festive season. To gain this seasonal business you should embrace the holiday spirit and hire Christmas elves, or even the big man himself, Santa Claus!

Christmas Elves

Christmas elves are an instantly recognisable feature of the holidays. Acting as Santa’s little helpers, elves live at the North Pole, helping to make gifts and care for the Reindeer. Most importantly, they help Santa decide who should and shouldn’t be on the nice list! Hiring elves to work for your company will bring some cheer and cheekiness, turning an ordinary day into a memorable Christmas activity. Families in particular love elves because of the recent surging popularity of ‘elf on the shelf’, and the added bit of magic that they add to an otherwise normal day.

Christmas Tree and Decorations

Push Promotions have a variety of staff experience and skills available, meaning that we can provide all sorts of Christmas elves to suit your requirements.

1. Retail Elves

Lots of our staff have retail experience and can therefore be hired to work as retail elves. With the huge Christmas rush, an extra few pairs of hands to help work on the tills or shop floor is vital, and doing so in character as an elf will really add some Christmas cheer. They can be hired to work in lots of locations. These include in-store retail locations, seasonal pop-up stores, Christmas Markets and promotional stalls. Christmas markets receive 10’s of thousands of annual visitors, there are numerous around the country, e.g. Birmingham German Market and Manchester Christmas Market. Elves can also be hired to entice and welcome customers into your store from the entrance.

2. Host & Hostess Elves

Push Promotions have previously supplied hosts & hostesses to prestigious UK events such as The Henley Regatta, Cheltenham Festival, and Royal Ascot. These experienced staff members fill various roles including reception duties, meet & greets, serving food and drinks, and more. Throughout winter, our hosts and hostesses can work as elves at any sized event from Christmas parties to corporate events. They are the perfect way to add a sprinkle of Christmas magic to a winter event.

3. Performing Elves

Within our 3000+ staff database, we have many staff members available to hire with experience in acting and musical theatre. These staff members love performing at events in ‘elf character’, entertaining the public and promoting your brand at the same time. They can be hired to perform at Santa’s grottos, Christmas parties, in-store events, or general promotional events on high streets, train stations, and more. They can also be hired to perform individually as well as in a team.

Santa’s Grotto

Santa’s grottos have been either cancelled or limited over the past couple of years due to Covid restrictions. Now that these have all been lifted, why not embrace our freedom and hire elves to manage the likely significantly long grotto queues and entertain guests whilst they wait. Santa’s grottos are truely magical and memorable experiences for children and their families. By hiring enthusiastic and talented staff you can give them lasting lifelong memories.

4. Model Elves

Push Promotions also has a selection of trained models on our books. They can be hired seasonally to work as Christmas elves at various promotional events and locations around the country.

5. Promotional Elves

Our staff can be hired to work in their usual promotional roles such as leaflet distributors, product demonstrators, product sampling staff, exhibition staff, etc. However, during the festive period they can complete all of these duties as elves or other festive characters! Our staff engage with the public, connecting with potential customers, and are knowledgeable about your company and services.

Moreover, we have lots of experience with costume character staff– mascots and chaperones. Having your company mascot present alongside festive characters may increase positive brand association and memorability.

Disclaimer:

Push Promotions do not provide the elf or Santa Claus costumes. Elves usually wear red and green outfits with striped socks/tights, curled shoe slippers, and a hat of course. They often have red rosy cheeks to complete the overall look.

At Christmas, thousands of brands are competing to outdo each other and take advantage of the Christmas spending spree. Hiring extra staff during this busy period makes the customer experience significantly smoother and therefore more enjoyable. And putting a twist on these extra staff members by dressing them as elves will elevate your Christmas promotion and make you stand out.
