Hire a Push Promotions street team today! Street Team marketing is an economical, personable, and effective method of marketing. Staff ‘take to the streets’ to promote your business, focusing on making personal and memorable interactions with potential customers. They can do so simply through conversation, distributing leaflets, offering free samples, games, photo opportunities, and more.

Push Promotions is available to supply street teams of highly skilled and experienced promotional staff. We have staff available all over the UK and so can often provide staff at relatively short notice. All of our staff have been through a rigorous interview process to ensure that they will effectively and positively represent your company.

Street Team Promotional Events

As aforementioned, street teams are teams of staff who promote your brand, product, or service on the street. Teams can be large or small, work in 1 particular area by a branded stand or wander up and down the street approaching the public. Furthermore, the so-called street isn’t limited to a city’s high street. Any area of high foot traffic is ideal for street team marketing, for example, train stations, shopping centres, and parks. There are no rules with street teams so let your imagination run wild! Your street team could try and break a world record with members of the public, recreate a viral video, set a challenge in order to win a free product, etc. The important thing is attracting public attention and making memorable and meaningful connections with potential customers.

Character costume staff (mascots and chaperones) are a great addition to street team hires. They are sure to catch public attention, especially families with children, as well as provide photo opportunities. Photos that can be shared online offer further opportunities to raise brand awareness.

Street Team Ideas

There are so many ideas for how to create an innovative and effective street teams event. These include:

Product Sampling

Everybody loves a freebie. By offering free samples you will immediately attract attention and be able to start up conversations with samplers. You could make this more exciting by making the public complete a challenge before receiving their sample (See our previous Absolut Vodka event) or make them try a surprise sample blindfolded. Additionally, to raise brand awareness further you could make samplers post about the sample to social media before receiving their freebie, or sign up to your mailing list.

Flash Mob

Similar to the viral dance idea mentioned earlier, having staff break out into song and dance will 100% catch attention as well as be remembered! Push Promotions have many staff members with a musical theatre background and so can provide staff who have experience performing.

Leaflet Distribution

Although simple, and perhaps not the most exciting form of promotion, leafleting can be very effective. Including discount codes and coupons on leaflets will make them more likely to be taken by the public, and may directly lead to sales.

Games

Pitch a giant chess set on the high street, or have a giant leaderboard for the longest hula-hooper. Anything interactive and fun is more likely to engage the public than staff simply standing on the street with clipboards.

Fancy Dress

Like the aforementioned mascots, have your street team wear fancy dress costumes. It’s all about standing out, and having your team dress as the Scooby Doo gang, Mario Bros or Disney Princesses, for example, will certainly do that!

Walking Billboards

Having staff wear large billboards or hold placards means that the public will see information about your company from afar. The street team will therefore be promoting your company to people without having to even speak to them.

Festival Brand Ambassadors

Important Note! Check if you require a permit or license from the local council to host a street team promotional event. Failure to do so could result in punishment such as a fine.

If a member of the public has a positive experience with your company, they are more likely to remember you and therefore purchase from you in the future. In order to ensure that your street team creates these effective public interactions, your staff needs to know what they are doing. As well as being knowledgeable, they need to be warm, friendly, and effective communicators. This is where Push Promotions come in.
