DEPARTMENT STORE ALCOHOL SAMPLING STAFF

We supply Cooper King Distillery with our department store alcohol sampling staff. They work in John Lewis stores nationwide.

Cooper King Distillery is the first English distillery to produce carbon-neutral gin, and one of only a few British distilleries to run on 100% renewable energy! Sustainability is a vital company ethos! 1% of all sales are donated to fund meadow planting in the Yorkshire Dales. Additionally, they source as many local ingredients as possible. Ingredients such as Maris Otter barley from Yorkshire farms, locally grown Yorkshire lavender, honey from their own bees, and more.

Cooper King Distillery’s principal product is gin, but they also produce others e.g. whisky, vodka, and liquors.

WHAT OUR ALCOHOL SAMPLING STAFF DO:

At various different John Lewis stores, our staff promoted and sold Cooper King gins. Staff set up a well-presented display, from which they prepared and offered the public dry gin samples. These could be either taken neat or mixed with lemonade/tonic. From here they discussed the products and brand with the public, emphasising sustainability, and therefore converted samples into sales.

Staff were briefed on the brand before the event, and could therefore answer any relevant questions or queries. They noted down general findings after their shift, such as which demographic was more likely to take a sample or purchase a product. This data could then be taken away and analysed by the brand for future marketing or product creation.
