Stadium event and wristband staff

Wristbanding staff, sometimes referred to as ‘wristbanders’, are responsible for distributing and applying wristbands to attendees at various often-large-scale events. Push Promotions regularly provides wristbanding staff to events around the UK. Their primary role is to ensure that attendees receive the appropriate wristbands based on their ticket type, age, access level, or other criteria.

Events with large numbers of attendees such as concerts, festivals, exhibitions, comedy shows, and more, require withstanding staff. Such events often take place at arenas and stadiums around the country. Wristbanding teams are usually large because they need to distribute thousands of wristbands within a relatively short time period.

Here’s an overview of the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with wristbanding staff:

Wolverhampton Promotional Staff

Checking Tickets

Wristbanding staff often start by checking the tickets or passes of attendees to verify their eligibility for certain wristbands. This may involve checking the ticket type, age restrictions, or any other specific criteria set by the event organisers.

Wristband Distribution

Once the eligibility is confirmed, wristbanding staff provide attendees with the appropriate wristbands. They may also explain the significance of different wristband colours or types to the attendees.

Wristband Application

Moreover, wristbanding staff securely apply the wristbands to the wrists of attendees, ensuring they are properly fastened to prevent tampering or removal.

Accuracy and Efficiency

Wristbanding staff must work quickly and accurately to handle a large number of attendees efficiently. They also need to avoid mistakes in assigning wristbands to the wrong individuals.

Customer Service

Furthermore, they should be polite and helpful when interacting with attendees, answering questions, and providing information about the event, wristband policies, and access restrictions.

Preventing Counterfeiting

Wristbanding staff are often trained to recognise counterfeit wristbands or passes to maintain the integrity of the event’s access control.

Age Verification

In events with age restrictions, such as those serving alcohol, wristbanding staff may verify the age of attendees and issue wristbands indicating that they are of legal drinking age.

Security and Crowd Control

They may work closely with security personnel to ensure that only authorized individuals gain access to different areas of the event. This can help with crowd control and maintaining safety. Push’s event stewards and marshals can be hired specifically for this purpose.

Record Keeping

Some events may require wristbanding staff to keep records of wristband distribution to track attendance or to reconcile wristband inventory.

Equipment Maintenance

They should ensure that the wristband application equipment, such as wristband dispensers and adhesive bands, is in good working order.

Wristbanding staff play a crucial role in ensuring that event attendees have the appropriate access and that the event runs smoothly. Their attention to detail and professionalism are essential for maintaining security, order, and the overall attendee experience at the event.

Moreover, such staff often enjoy perks whilst on shift. They may get to enjoy the concert (or other event) once wristbanding is complete, get free drinks and meals, and gain a behind-the-scenes insight into some of the UK’s most iconic events.

Push Promotions Wristbanding Experience

We have previously supplied wristbandng staff to some of the UK’s largest and most iconic venues, such as:

Wembley Stadium Wristbanding Staff

Push supplied a large team of 60 Wembley Stadium wristbanding staff (plus a team leader) to work at a concert at the iconic venue. Our staff handed out relevant wristbands to music superstar the Weeknd’s fans- 90,000 of whom were in attendance! Our team worked in a calm and efficient manner. They ensured that all wristbands were distributed despite the near-overwhelming busy and lively atmosphere.

Moreover, the team leader remained an easily accessible point of communication between the wristband team and the venue’s managers. The team leader made sure staff were always where they needed to be and that all their jobs were completed to our high standards.

Manchester AO Arena Wristbanding Staff

Furthermore, we provided 25 members of staff to the AO Arena Manchester to hand out wristbands at the KSI Vs Tommy Fury exhibition boxing match. Love Island star Tommy controversially defeated Youtuber KSI on points, in front of a sell-out crowd of 20,000 people. Our wristband staff helped to ensure the smooth success of the event.

Moreover, we can provide more than just wristband staff to such events. We can also provide staff to scan tickets, sell merchandise, direct people to their seats, work on bars, and more. We can also provide event marshals and stewards to assist with event safety.
